The responsibility for maintaining these policies lies with the senior leadership team and compliance officers.
Due Diligence Processes
Scrumconnect Consulting conducts rigorous due diligence to assess risks related to modern slavery and human trafficking. While our company is not legally obligated under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 due to turnover thresholds, we voluntarily adopt best practices to ensure compliance. Our due diligence measures include:
- Conducting a modern slavery risk assessment across our operations and supply chains.
- Reviewing and updating internal policies and compliance frameworks, subject to annual audits.
- Conducting background checks to ensure that none of our directors, employees, or subcontractors have been convicted of slavery or human trafficking offenses.
- Ensuring that our supplier agreements include explicit clauses on anti-slavery and trafficking commitments.
- Requiring all suppliers and partners to sign an annual compliance form confirming adherence to anti-slavery principles.
Risk Assessment
Based on our business structure, supply chain composition, and operational practices, the risk of modern slavery within Scrumconnect Consulting is assessed as low. However, we remain vigilant and proactive in monitoring and mitigating potential risks.
Training on Modern Slavery and Trafficking
To ensure awareness and compliance, we incorporate modern slavery training into our induction program for all new employees. Furthermore, all staff are required to review and confirm their understanding of our modern slavery policy annually.
Key Performance Indicators to Measure Effectiveness
We have implemented key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess our effectiveness in combating modern slavery, including:
- Ensuring all supplier and partner compliance forms are up to date.
- Monitoring reports of suspected modern slavery cases (none recorded to date).
- Verifying that all employees have completed modern slavery awareness training.
