Carbon Reduction Plan
Supplier name: Scrumconnect Limited
Publication date: 30th September 2025
Commitment to achieving Net Zero
Scrumconnect Limited is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2040.
Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.
Baseline Year: 2021
Additional Details relating to the Baseline Emissions calculations.
Our baseline year was chosen as 2021 as we acquired new office spaces to accommodate our growing business and increasing workforce
- Scope 1: Includes direct emissions, including those associated with the direct consumption of natural gas, heating oil, diesel fuel as well as emissions associated with owned and leased vehicles and fugitive emissions.
- Scope 2: Includes indirect emissions including those associated with the purchase and consumption of local electricity and distinct heating energy.
For Scope 1 and 2 calculations we followed the 2019 HM Government Environmental and Reporting Guidelines. We have also used the GHG Reporting Protocol - Corporate Standard and the UK Government's Greenhouse gas reporting: conversion factors 2021.
- Scope 3 (Categories 3, 5, 6, 7, 8) covers other indirect emissions such as business travel, hotel stays, waste disposal, upstream emissions from purchased fuels and electricity. Emissions from employee’s teleworking have also been factored in including estimates from home energy consumption.
For Scope 3 calculations we followed the guidance of GHG Reporting Protocol - Corporate Standard and have used the UK Government's Greenhouse gas reporting: conversion factors 2021 for reporting. Different advised methods of calculations have been employed to calculate best these emissions including fuel method, distance method, spend method using proxy techniques, industry averages.

*Scope 1 covers greenhouse gas emissions from fuel combustion in company-owned assets such as vehicles, heating systems or onsite generators.
At Scrumconnect, we operate a fully remote-first delivery model, vehicle fleets or fuel-burning assets. This means we do not directly burn fossil fuels in the course of our operations. As a result, our Scope 1 emissions are already effectively zero.
**Scope 2: Scrumconnect’s Scope 2 emissions are zero because all electricity used within our office premises is sourced from 100% certified renewable energy. By procuring only renewable electricity, supported by accredited certification schemes, we eliminate any indirect emissions associated with purchased power under the market-based method of carbon accounting. This ensures that the energy we consume does not contribute to greenhouse gas emissions, allowing us to credibly report zero Scope 2.
Emissions reduction targets
In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets.
Completed Initiatives towards Carbon Reduction
Our office spaces have:
- Floor to ceiling windows reduce the need to lightening during the availability of sunlight
- The installation and use of energy efficient lighting, with PIR sensors and daylight detectors, which ensures fixtures are switched off when sunlight enters the room
- Using only LED lamps for all the light fittings with CRI 80 and 20,000 hours or more of expected life
- Multiple points of recycling points and a segregation of wastes at the source collection
- Employees are encouraged to bring in their own cups to avoid the use of single use plastics
- Conduct regular sessions by our internal team eco warriors to highlight the importance of carbon reduction
- Car pooling and usage of public transport is encouraged. Employers coming from similar areas are grouped together and often commute via carpooling
On-going/Future initiatives towards Carbon Reduction
In the future we hope to implement further measures such as:
- Reduce the impacts of employee commuting – encourage working from home whenever possible. Allow a hybrid model for work for the employee to chose
- Transition to electric vehicles and adopting sustainable approaches while travelling – green ways of transport (cycling, encouraging carpooling, ), accommodation facilities (Choosing sustainable and environmental friendly hotels )
- Our internal eco warriors has implemented a plastic free office campus for the year 2020 at our office space in London.
- We are focused on improving the ease and accuracy of our GHG emissions measurements, including changes to our internal business systems, driving greater transparency and granularity in monitoring our progress towards the carbon reduction
- Switching for renewable energy sources (solar panels installation, usage of recycled water for gardens) etc. by end of 2025
Declaration and Sign Off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard[1] and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting[2].
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard[3].
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
