Double victory for Scrumconnect at the 2026 Computing Digital Technology Leaders Awards

Scrumconnect, the award winning AI and digital transformation specialist, has achieved a double victory at the prestigious Computing Digital Technology Leaders Awards, securing top honours for both individual leadership within the Company and its collaborative delivery and engineering teams.

The consultancy’s Senior Delivery Lead, Hannah Butterworth, won Digital Hero of the Year, alongside the coveted Development Team of the Year award which was won in partnership with HM Courts and Tribunals Service. These national accolades reflect Scrumconnect's position as a trusted delivery partner capable of implementing cutting edge, responsible AI solutions within critical national infrastructure.

Digital Hero of the Year: Hannah Butterworth

The Digital Hero of the Year category is highly-competitive, recognising non-IT technical professionals who champion digital practices, demonstrate a can-do attitude, and bring technology out of the back office to deliver real business benefits.

Drawing on her early-career expertise as a court clerk, Hannah was recognised for her leadership in identifying how emerging generative AI capabilities could support the justice sector by streamlining complex administration. She successfully pitched and managed a fast paced, low cost initial experimentation, steering cross functional streams of user research and security compliance. By aligning cutting edge technology with strict operational standards, her initial exploratory work proved what was possible and laid the groundwork for a broader technical delivery.

As the premier team-based category of the evening, the Development Team of the Year category recognises standout software engineering and product building units that have overcome complex technical challenges to deliver measurable results and seamless integration through state of the art development practices.

The combined HMCTS / Scrumconnect delivery team took Hannah's initial validated experiment and quickly transitioned it into a robust, rapidly executed development phase. Working in close collaboration, this six person unit explored emerging AI capabilities at pace within a live public sector environment. The team successfully navigated complex technical architecture and strict information governance to build a secure framework, embedding responsible AI safeguards, advanced testing pipelines, and independent model validation from day one, to demonstrate how central government teams can safely collaborate to deliver innovative digital experimentation.

Speaking on the wins, Praveen Karadiguddi, Scrumconnect Chief Executive Officer, said: “Today’s announcement is a genuinely proud moment for Scrumconnect and a testament to the power of true collaboration and partnership we bring to all of our client engagements. Winning these awards highlights exactly what our delivery culture is about, combining deep user empathy with rigorous engineering to test and deploy emerging technologies safely. We are thrilled to see Hannah recognised for her exceptional leadership, and equally proud of our joint development team with HMCTS, a fantastic customer that is always willing to explore ambitious and innovative ways of working.”

Hiren Shah, Scrumconnect Portfolio Director for Criminal Justice, added: “Exploring emerging technology within live government environments requires a delicate balance of technical agility and uncompromising governance. This double recognition from Computing celebrates a team that focused entirely on safely navigating complex architecture and responsible technology assessments within a sensitive landscape. By working side-by-side with our friends at HMCTS, our engineers and delivery leads have helped unlock a secure environment for digital innovation and experimentation. Through this close collaboration we will continue to build on this track record of robust, user first delivery.”
